A Proud History of Technical Innovation and Customer Service
CNC was formed in September 2008 by Chris Lord, Managing Director and David Newns, Commercial Director of ELAP Mobility, a long-established company specialising in highly innovative and technical vehicle adaptations for drivers with specific needs. For over 30 years, ELAP has placed great emphasis on providing the highest levels of customer service and achieving exceptional standards of professionalism.
It was with this history of product and service excellence that CNC was created to exploit the long-term potential of e-cigarettes, particularly where, as in CNC’s case, the e-cigarette and e-liquids are manufactured to the very highest standards.
This vision continues to be developed into commercial reality.
Intellicig®: Laying the Foundation
The Intellicig® Electronic Cigarette was launched in 2008 laying the foundations which enabled CNC to expand and develop into the more diversified Bioscience-focussed operation it is today. Intellicig’s unique selling point remains its ECOpure liquid which is manufactured to cGMP medicinal standards within an ISO Class 8 Clean Room at the company’s Bioscience Headquarters in Manchester. ECOpure is unique because, unlike its competitors, CNC can identify all of the pharmacopeia grade ingredients.
Intellicig and ECOpure have become synonymous with quality and are clearly recognised as a leading manufacturer and supplier of top quality electronic cigarettes and e-liquids selling across the UK and to 26 countries globally.
Nicadex®: Investing in the Next Generation
CNC made a revolutionary decision in 2009 by deciding to develop the worlds first medically compliant electronic cigarette. To enable this it became a resident of the Bioscience Incubator at Manchester University.
The development of Nicadex has involved creating an e-cigarette to class 2a medical device standard. The awarding of the CE mark for this will lead to clinical trials and submission to the UK Medical Healthcare Regulatory Agency (MHRA) for its MA (marketing authorisation) in the first quarter of 2013.
